This month, we are proud to highlight Kaberlin Ballard, a leader who has demonstrated exceptional commitment to building stronger teams and workplace culture at Black River Area Development Corporation.
Through her participation in our Virtual Leadership Training, DiSC assessments, and coaching sessions, Kaberlin has helped champion positive communication, deeper collaboration, and confidence across her organization.

Event Highlight: Ladies Who Lunch – Urban Land Institute (ULI) NWA Women’s Leadership Initiative. What an amazing experience speaking at Ladies Who Lunch, hosted by the ULI Northwest Arkansas Women’s Leadership Initiative! It was such a privilege to connect with a dynamic group of women leaders whose insights, authenticity, and energy made the session truly memorable. Together, we explored how Emotional Intelligence empowers us to lead with confidence, clarity, and purpose — both in work and in life. We’re grateful for the opportunity to invest in and celebrate women who are leading with vision and impact.
We were proud to join HR leaders from across the region at the State SHRM Conference this month! Theme: Lights, Camera, HR Take Action! Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth. The conversations and connections reminded us how essential leadership development is to every organization.

Clarity creates alignment. When leaders communicate a focused direction and expectations, teams move forward with purpose. Confidence strengthens trust and helps others feel supported, even during times of change.
Here are a few ways to model clarity and confidence each day:
Be direct and transparent about goals and priorities
Listen generously and respond thoughtfully
Stand firm in your decisions, while remaining open to feedback
Encourage others and celebrate progress
Show consistency between your words and actions
